Further hints include candied apple, gooseberry, and marzipan. On the palate, it is both soft and powerful, with peppery and barley sugar flavors, plus a smoky dried-earth quality and faint rubber notes. Pleasant warmth lingers in the aftertaste, with the sweetness of charred oak and pineapple coming through.
