Folio 7 is a limited edition in The Macallan's Archival Series that recreates the brand's iconic advertising from 1984. The campaign, titled 'The Boffins Baffled', featured scientists invited to the distillery to sample the whisky. Art Director David Holmes, Copywriter Nick Salaman, and illustrator Mary Hogan (Nee Roberts) brought the brand's essence to life in the advertisement, which now inspires the Folio 7 single malt expression. The lead whisky maker, Euan Kennedy, states that Folio 7 pays tribute to the magic and curiosity of the 1980s advert, making it a captivating and iconic whisky.
