Jericho Adelaide Hills Tempranillo 750ml

Located in the northern region of Adelaide Hills, near Kersbrook, our vineyard experiences a dry, cool climate. On the gentle east-facing slopes with shallow loam soils, our old vines thrive, producing small grape bunches full of flavor and soft tannins.

Deviation from traditional methods, our joven-style Tempranillo follows a unique process. During fermentation, we press the grapes off skins midway, preventing the extraction of bold and harsh tannins typically found in Tempranillo. This yields a plush, juicy, and remarkably approachable red wine. Following brief maturation in seasoned French oak, the wine is released early, preserving its fresh and intensely red-fruited character.

The wine's luxurious red fruit flavors and supple structure make it a perfect pairing for expertly grilled BBQ meats. Whether it's spring lamb or spicy chorizo sausage, these dishes are an excellent match for the wine's vibrant personality.
